Completeness and coverage

Last reviewed

Your NetSuite ledger already holds every transaction for the period, and CO2 Lab builds your footprint directly from it. Each line is calculated from its spend, upgraded with measured activity data, or deliberately excluded, and keeps its reason and a link back to the source. An auditor confirms completeness by following those links back to the ledger.

Review every account

Before you approve a period, you review every account the import brought in. Each one is set to spend, measured activity or excluded, shows whether invoices were found behind its bills, and links back to the line it came from. Excluding an account is your call and is recorded against the line, so nothing enters or leaves your footprint without passing your review.

Invoice activity data

A spend-based figure applies an emission factor to a dollar amount, which estimates the emissions without measuring them. When the invoice behind a bill records the quantity bought, such as kilowatt-hours or litres, CO2 Lab reads that file and calculates from the quantity directly. Dug, our AI analyst, extracts the quantity and keeps the file linked to its line, and you review the result against the invoice before it counts.

When an invoice is attached to a NetSuite transaction, CO2 Lab links it to that line automatically. You can also upload an invoice yourself, and Dug matches it to the right ledger line for you to confirm. A line stays spend-based only when the file cannot be read or holds no usable quantity. Reading files straight from NetSuite is switched on when you connect, and with it off the ledger import still runs as before.

A complete footprint

Because the ledger already holds every posted transaction and you have reviewed each account, nothing is left out. A spend-based line counts just as fully as a measured one, so completeness does not depend on having activity data everywhere. Each line keeps its account, subsidiary, facility and product through treatment and review, so the same completeness holds whether you read the footprint by entity, facility or product, and every figure traces back to the ledger it came from.
